Salmon Fishing Esparanza Inlet, located on the Northwest side of Nootka Island, offers some of the best Chinook and Coho salmon fishing on Vancouver island. With my experience as a fishing guide, we will be where the fish are and with the right equipment. These Chinook Salmon can run from 20 to 50 pounds or more, while Summer Coho will run 8 to 20 pounds and full of fight. These Chinook and Coho Salmon are some of the best eating fish you will find anywhere. Kayak Transport We also provide kayak transport to Nuchatlitz Provincial Park, Catala Marine Park or The Nootka Island trail. Guests fully insured. Transport to the Nootka Island Trail The Nootka Island Trail takes 5 to 6 days to complete. The trail is 38 km long and is located on the rugged West Coast of Nootka Island. You can be dropped off at either Louie Bay or Yuquot (Friendly Cove).
